Stones River National Battlefield has made changes to operations due to the coronavirus outbreak, a park official confirmed.
Beginning Wednesday, public restrooms, along with the rest of the visitor center, will be closed until further notice, said spokesman Jim Lewis.
Lewis said the modifications are following the latest guidance from the White House, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local and state authorities to promote social distancing and safe cleaning of facilities potentially exposed to COVID-19.
The park’s outdoor areas — including the tour road, trails, Stones River National Cemetery, the McFadden Farm Unit, Redoubt Brannan and Fortress Rosecrans — will remain open to the public.
